My mother turns 92 this Friday, March 27th, 2009. She is still going strong. I have moved back into her Bonner Street home to spend as much time with her as possible. Mom still gets around fine - just a tad bit slower. The only down side is that her eyesight is failing her. She can no longer do a lot of things she has enjoyed over the years. Things such as knitting, quilting, reading the newspaper, doing crossword puzzles.
One new thing is her life is her cat - named Kitty. Mary and A.J. hooked her up with a neighborhood stray calico cat and she adores it. The cat steers clear of me (knows I am a dog person), but gives mom a lot of enjoyment.
